Bored in the Dark (open)

[Lightgarnet]

Lightgarnet dragged his claws across the stone wall, bored of the quiet and peace between the clans. Peace means no fighting, and no fighting means frequent patrols with little to no variations. Routine and tedious tasks bored him greatly. The only place that brought him any joy was the deserted caves. Here he could be alone and flex his claws against the stone without the worry of some random apprentice getting in the way. Tonight, however, this brought him no joy.

Tanglepaw closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. Truthfully she wasn't supposed to be out of camp. Alone. Without her mentor. She wasn't "old enough" too "inexperienced". She spat in disgust, irritation prickling off of her pelt in waves. She padded through the tunnels quietly until the sound of claws on the stone walls made her stop. Strainging her ears forward she tried to locate the sound and stumbled upon another cat. He was from her clan, Lightgarnet. She wrinkled her nose, a little annoyed at having seen him. She couldn't afford for him to run back and tell the clan she was on her own. So she turned around, attempting to make a quick escape.

The tunnel rumbles under the young apprentice's paws as the tunnel closed. She seems to be looking at her mentor on the other side of the stone. The mentor turned his back on her as the hope closed, sealing her in. Light watched the young cat to see what she would do.

She stopped herself short, furring her brow. Why in the name of StarClan was she running away. She was out here to prove herself. To prove she was capable of being out on her own. Running away like a frightened kit was downright stupid. So, she turned back around, following his scent trail. When she was close enough she stopped and tilted her head, staring at the tom. She was fully aware he knew of her presence as his body language had changed. She shook her pelt absentmindedly, a habit that formed when she was unsure of what to do.

Light tilts his head then causes stones to grow from the walls. These stones glow a green color, lighting up the cave around the young apprentice. "What are you doing young one?"

She picked up one of her paws, running them along the smooth stones that were now glowing on the walls. She smiled, staring at the green glow which gave her a sense of calm. "I am exploring I suppose." she said simply, shrugging.

The stones turn from green to a crimson red as the cave echos Lights deep, booming voice, "This is no place to go EXPLORING!" The tone of the echos become softer suddenly, "I mean, these caves are dangerous. A young one, such as yourself should not be here alone." Light approaches the apprentice. "Let alone here with a cat that can barely see," he lied smoothly. Light's eyes were clouded and he seem to stumble around a bit as he walked. All the cats in the clan assumed that he was mostly blind.

She blinked, hardly phased. If he was trying to scare her, he was doing a horrible job. Tanglepaw narrowed her eyes at him. "Well, while that may be, wouldn't it be worse for someone with your...condition out here? At least i can see my enemies properly." she retorted. She would not be bullied off by some warrior.

"Most would agree with you, but I love it in here. This is a place where know every well. Plus the echos help me to hear my way around. Its not perfect but its far better than an untrained kit. Now go home before you get in trouble." Light gently pushes the young apprentice toward the exit.

She made a growl low in her throat, icy tangles growing around her paws and lashing out around her. "I will do as i please. And don't ever touch me." she hissed, her voice low. If there was one thing Tanglepaw hated, it was other cats touching her.

Light moves the ground under her into the air and has it start moving back to camp. "I don't think an apprentice has any say when given an order by a warrior. Now back to camp with you." He smiled as she floated away.
